I hope so.
And if that’s the case, I’m on day 10. Jacquie from Cooking with Jax and I have been getting up and walking early in the morning for ten days now. We are officially on a roll.

Both of us are noticing significant differences in our size/shape/stamina and it’s really hard to put into words how good that feels. It will have to wait for another blog post, when I have more time.

We didn’t call it off when the snow flew. We didn’t call it off when we had something late the night before. And we didn’t call it off when we looked at the alarm at 5:50 and groaned. In fact, we connected with others just in case we started feeling comfortable enough to start letting each other down by copping out of a walk.
|Yes, snow, again.|
It’s only been ten days.
People have short memories. Just yesterday I was talking to someone that was discouraged by their activity levels and I reminded them of what mine were just a short time ago. It hasn’t been that long.
|Look at how many days this month where my totals are far below the 10,000 mark.|
And something else is happening. I’m reconnecting with friends. So much of my work revolves around communicating with people that it can be easy to go home and ‘turtle’ in order to get some me time. But these walks with friends have really felt great. Hopefully this is part of the habit retraining process too.
